Bollywood star Mika Singh announced to headline Mela
One of India’s biggest pop stars will headline this year’s Sandwell and Birmingham Mela, organisers have announced.
Mika Singh is set to bring his foot-tapping pop hits to the estimated 85,000-strong crowd during the two day celebration Asian music and culture.
Pop star Singh heads a 100-strong line-up of artists and performers expected to appear in Victoria Park, Smethwick , on July 16 and 17.
The 38-year-old heads to the UK following sold out shows across the Middle East, North America and Africa.
Since his debut in 1998 the self-proclaimed ‘King of Bollywood’ has clocked up an army of fans.

Announcing the headliner, Sandwell & Birmingham Mela’s Danny Singh said: “The Mela is months of hard work and dedication by the team. This year we have put in the extra effort and are bringing something really special.
“Staging Mika Singh will make the Mela even bigger and attract a much diverse audience.
“Mika is India’s biggest Bollywood singer and he will rock the UK audience.”
